i’m writing a story and I want my character to be allergic to something, but he is going to be eating/drinking that thing all night and he dies after about 3 hours (suicide.) is this possible? which food allergies can kill you?

I’m not sure about the 3 hours part, but fish/seafood and peanut allergy can kill you in minutes. Your throat swells shut and you cannot breathe. I’m sure there are other allergies that can kill you, these are the two I’m familiar with.
