I do know that many severely allergic (multiple allergy) babies have been put on elemental formulas with quite a bit of success. I do also know a couple adults who have had severe digestive problems caused by undiagnosed food allergies who have had to resort to feeding tubes, pureed foods, and formulas in order to give their system the rest it needed to heal. Its not very appetizing but you have to do what you have to do to get better.

I’d really weigh your options and maybe even get a second opinion if you’re doubting your doctors advice. Many allergies can be avoided easily, and some are more difficult. But it sounds like you may have damage from eating your allergens, which is why the suggestion of elemental formulas.

Do use caution though, if one of your allergies is corn or soy.. formulas may not be successful and you may have to look into a pureed food diet. But do a search online for advice on those if thats your allergy issue.

Regard Liquid FOOD .. it is prob an Enteral Nutrition source .. OK .. but is are your FOOD allergies causing Health Issues to require this supplement ?
