A made in USA laminate will have the least amount of formaldehyde in it. Any wood product or any thing containing wood will have traceable amount of formaldehyde in it. Formaldehyde is a natural occurring chemical and anything that grows in the ground has it in it. Laminate made in the USA will have no added formaldehyde. Laminate from China may have added formaldehyde, It makes it cheaper to make. Formaldehyde in the glue makes the glue cheaper.
The ” green” manufactures to look for include: Mannington,
Shaw, Mohawk.
