I take diovanplus hct a water pill added to the diovan and it will sometimes give yu a headache but is usually from dehydration.why are yu mixing drugs?? are they prescribed?? or ??also caffiene affects diovan too!so lay off the coffee!---any heart ot BP medicine aint to be played with!! Diovan is Valsartan (an Angiotensin Receptor Blocker or ARB) and Ativan is Lorazepam (a benzodiazepine like Valium, but much shorter acting). The headache you are experiencing is an adverse effect associated with this drug but should be taken seriously as headaches are a possible physical sign of some complications due to hypertension (high blood pressure). There is no way for anyone on Yahoo! to determine if the dose is too high. You should see your doctor to make sure that it is just an adverse effect and not some indicator of another problem. The question may be if you are taking any other anti-hypertensives thereby again making the doseage too much for your body. Speak with your doctor regarding your symptoms when taking this medication.
