As other stated, there are more natural cleaning products available all over the Internet and in stores now. I think that Target carries a line like this as well. Can't this person have someone else do these kinds of chores for them, i.e.- friend, neighbor, teenager looking for a little extra cash? Have them leave the house while it is being done for a while. Also there are professional carpet cleaners, and it really doesn't cost that much depending on the company you hire. There are certainly solutions out there, and there is no reason for them to continue to deteriorate their own health.

I have allergies to most household cleaning products. I still clean my house. I just choose not to use those certain products. I use a product called Awesome, it doesnt have any ammonia or bleach or any kind of fragrance and it cleans EVERYTHING. I would suggest this to your friend. You can buy it at the Dollar Tree, Dollar General, etc. And its only a dollar and it works great! I love it!

First of all, she should try to get rid of a lot of the things she has to use chemicals to clean often, like carpets (hardwood floors are nicer, anyway, and she can use washable area rugs-- just toss in the washer). Two, she should look into natural cleansers. I don't know the extent of her allergies, but vinegar cleans a lot of the same things that chemicals are used for, and there are lots of products for sensitive people. I hope she feels better.

go to the health food store and get natural cleaners. They don't cause all of that mess. And open windows while cleaning.

There are a number of natural cleaning agents that most of us have around the house that should not cause allergic reactions.
Vinegar, baking soda, salt.
Check with a natural helath food store.......they usually have other natural products in addition to foods.

He could try using something other than chemicals, like soap and water or other "household" remedies. Also, have the woman and child wear paper masks while the house is being cleaned and the chemicals are being used and after they are used until the house airs out.

no, for the love of god, no

wtf would you make them use chemicals to clean with that caused them allergic reactions in the past?

also, i highly doubt this person went into 'cardiac arrest' by the time that happens in anaphalactic reactions, it's usually too late to save someone

They have "healthier" cleaning products you can purchase. I saw John Travoltas wife, Kelly Preston, on Oprah a couple of years ago and she promotes these products as they are safe for people with allergies like you talk about and safer for pets and children as well. You could google something like safe, alternative household cleaners or something like that I suppose. Good luck....
