You sound exactly like me before I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia and I do believe it is a real condition and I am an active member of the fibromyalgia support community. The symptoms you have listed go hand in hand with fibromyalgia as it is not strictly a pain condition. While there is no cure there are many treatment options available but finding the right combination for you is a game of trial and error, for me massage therapy has been my life saver from the pain and headaches. With respect to the sensitivity being increased it is likely caused by the fatigue and pain your body is experiencing. When your fibro goes untreated you are much more sensitive to everything - very similar to a migraine that never goes away. The coming and going of the hightened symptoms of fibro are known as flare ups and they are typicaly brought on by lack of sleep and stress. Diagnosing your fibromyalgia will be a frustrating experience, I'll just be honest with you. The diagnosis process consists of ruling out other conditions through many blood tests, x-rays and likely an MRI and CAT Scan but staying positive will be your best course of action even though it is difficult. Best of luck to you and feel free to contact me if you have any more questions.

I agree that overuse of the term fibromyalgia and the homeopathic sites on it are not all legit. It can exploit a unfortunately ill person.

Go to TMS, tension myositis syndrome, and see if you have 8 or so trigger points, not 17 - 18, and increasing. Deal with it. Get tough and just deal with it, knock it out with the power of your mind, if TMS.

Then, you have to treat your colon in a variety of ways. I believe your own colon toxicity and imbalance is poisoning and torturing you. And taking your energy, making you stiff, and tired.

In this regard there is a free site, and merely a book called the H.O.PE. diet or lifestyle plan, no hoax, just anagram for.......

H.O.P.E. stands for:

High Fiber
Omega-3 Oils
Probiotics
Enzymes

For example, I personally do NOT believe this: http://www.hffcf.org/403030.php and this http://www.losingitmyway.com/The_Hope_Diet.html which may be a take off or knock off of this fully sensible concept. http://www.brendawatson.com/In-the-News/Brenda's-News/HOPE/ Write to the author if you want to.

I hope you will, the answer took me all night, I am up watching sick child, and google is full of tricks on this legit Brenda Watson concept which has helped me, I am going for a colonoscopy, LOL. Will treat myself with H.O.P.E after I see the results.
