Biodegradable cat litter?
Alright, so I’ve read about it, read reviews about it, but I want you to tell me about it. I currently use Arm & Hammer Multi Cat Clumping litter, which works great! Minimal odors, clumps great, and I have never had the problem of my cat not using his litter box.
But… I want to be more eco friendly. As an advocate of integrative alternative veterinary medicine, I feel as though I should find a litter that works as well as my clumping clay pollutant with all the advantages of the wheat/pine/corn based products on the market now.
So tell me about your experiences with different cat litter or even automatic cat boxes. Swheat Scoop? Feline Pine? Yesterday’s News? Worlds Best Cat Litter?
With everyone natural feeding, is anyone out there using a natural cat litter? Or is clay still reigning supreme.

recycled paper or woodbased natural products best everytime from someone who.s tried a few over the last 20yrs.

Hi, I have tried to be more eco-friendly too, but I keep coming back to the clay clumping.
I have tried the Yesterday’s News. They were mostly OK with it until the second time they peed. Then the pellets degrade into wet newspaper and they shook their paws at it.
I tried both Feline Pine and Mountain Cat pine litters. That was an absolutely not, no way, no how, uh-uh moment for them. It smells A LOT (like pine). One of them pooped in front of the box on the mat and waited beside it for me to notice just to prove a point. I got the hint.
I have not tried the Swheat or World’s Best. I have heard good things about them but with four cats the cost is a preventative. When I worked at a pet store there were people who swore by them, though.
So for now we are a clumping litter household.
