Eyes acting funny during high pollen count?

Does anyone have weird eye sensations during the high pollen counts. I live in NY and my eyes have been bothering me, more than ever. They get blurry, sticky,when i blink i see sparks in a dark room, eyes keep blinking to lubricate my eyeball it seems. Anyone else ever get this? I am totally hung up on this, can allergies affect the eyes like this? Thanks so much!
My eyes are so irritated when the pollen count is up. I wear contacts too, so that makes things even more uncomfortable. I live in the NE too and have reacted to the high pollen count these last few days. Totally normal and common allergy. Use eye drops to get the red out.
i have been affected like this for many years.. Lots of floaters and specs of light.. Especially bad if i come from sunlight into a dark room.
