I suspect he has some allergies to dust or pollen. I usually have no problem finding vegetarian/vegan options at any restaurant. I’d had allergy shots back in the mid 80s and the shots eventually did help me to feel better and have less post nasal drips (though also didn’t have a cat at that time).
